Project Spotlight: "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition"

Luraline has donated lighting fixtures for a special two-hour episode of “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition,” airing at 7 p.m., ET, on Sunday, Oct. 16.

The Teas family founded Camp Barnabas in Purdy, MO, more than 10 years ago to meet the needs of critically and chronically ill children. In the show’s largest renovation ever, the design team will not only rebuild the Teas’ own home, but will make over other parts of Camp Barnabas as well, all in just seven days.

Arkansas A/E firm PB2 Architecture and Engineering, working with Arkansas sales agency Lighting Incorporated, chose Luraline’s Vanguard series of vapor-tight pendants with RLM reflectors for a new bunkhouse for camp counselors, dubbed “Barnabunk.” The fixtures provide attractive yet functional illumination and give an industrial look to the bunkhouse’s interior.

“It’s an honor for Luraline to contribute to such a deserving cause,” Luraline President Howard Levine said. “Our lighting has been used for other TV and film projects, but the opportunity to take part in this ‘Extreme Makeover’ is especially rewarding.”

"Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" is produced by Endemol USA, a division of Endemol Holding. David Goldberg is the president of Endemol USA. The series is executive-produced by Tom Forman. The show airs Sundays (8-9 p.m. ET), on the ABC Television Network.
