The "Switch is On" to Electronic Light Sources
The “switch is on” at Luraline from magnetic ballasts to newer and more efficient electronically driven light sources.
With a 30-year history of manufacturing energy-saving lighting fixtures, Luraline has always offered specification-grade electronic and electronic dimming ballasts. Last year, Luraline began expanding its offering of electronic ballasts on several CF products by adding Energy Star-compliant normal power factor 120V models.
Now, Luraline is introducing universal voltage, high power factor electronic ballastry for HID (metal halide) lighting fixtures as well. The Genera series of industrial-styled lighting fixtures is Luraline’s first product line to offer exclusively electronic ballasts on all metal halide models, with new Genera catalogs being reprinted to reflect the upgrade.
More products will join Genera over the comings months, as Luraline continues to make the transition to electronic ballasts, which offer increased lamp life, cooler and quieter operation, and provide more consistent color rendering over traditional magnetic models. Electronic ballasts also allow for the use of lighting control systems such as dimmers, timers, and sensors, which further add to their growing appeal.
